Job summary

Knorr Bremse Group in Avon, OH seeks a Purchasing and Supply Chain professional for electronic components, including PCBs, wiring harnesses, semiconductors, and sensors. You will lead sourcing, supplier relationships, and cost reduction initiatives to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

The role requires coordinating with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Materials, and Finance to ensure sourcing, capacity, and timing objectives are achieved, while managing risk and supplier

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics sourcing and procurement practices and lifecycle considerations.
• Experience with printed circuit boards, electronic assemblies, and related components.
• Understanding of strategic sourcing, contract development, and negotiation.
• Experience with production control, material planning, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience handling supplier quality, cost drivers, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage sourcing strategies for electronic components based on role level.
• Evaluate and select suppliers, including global sourcing and risk assessments.
• Negotiate supply agreements and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Support purchasing for new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Improve electronics supply chain through long-term agreements and supplier development.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
