Job summary

Microboard Processing in Seymour, CT is seeking an Industrial Process Engineer I to support production documentation with a focus on New Product Introductions. You will work under the engineering leader and help streamline processes and forms.

The role involves creating and updating VBA-based forms, coordinating NPI activities, and contributing to cost and process improvements across new and existing products. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • Fluent English reading and speaking.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operation manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

  • Update production forms using VBA for Production Schedule 2.0, Tech Review Forms, and BOM Comparisons.
  • Initiate and track the engineering priorities sheet based on schedule changes.
  • Lead NPI documentation including NPI log, build type, scheduling, and reviews.
  • Estimate for new quotes focusing on process and component placement and cost model.
  • Provide production support for new products, review defects, and investigate issues.
  • Initial BOM scrubs and component reviews; research component issues.
  • Represent engineering on document control for PWIs and VSMs.
