Job summary

JMD Technologies Inc. in Bethel, CT is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer II, NPI to support new product introduction, process development, and production readiness.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, develop inspection procedures, validate processes, and maintain documentation, BOMs, and QMS. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and on-site collaboration with Development and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development activities.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process validation, PFMEA, control plans, and Gage R&R.
• Hands-on experience creating and modifying tooling drawings and models using SolidWorks.
• Experience maintaining BOMs, job routers, QMS, and DMR documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, onsite manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Development and Manufacturing to define manufacturing requirements and processes through the product lifecycle.
• Support manufacturing line readiness, including equipment, space, staffing, and production needs.
• Develop and finalize inspection procedures, including methods, sample sizes, and appropriate gauges.
• Create work instructions, process flow charts, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Perform process validation and Gage R&R activities.
• Maintain BOMs, job routers, QMS, and DMR documentation.
• Review manufacturing and process metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive NPI and production implementation, and manage production transfers.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes.
