Job summary

Hyve Solutions, a TD SYNNEX subsidiary, is seeking a detail‑oriented engineer to manage NPI builds in the Fremont‑based factory, coordinating with hardware and software teams to drive issues to closure.

The role requires hands‑on troubleshooting, OS administration, and strong communication in a fast‑paced environment. You will contribute to firmware qualification and ensure smooth production readiness.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/EE or related experience, preferred.
• Deep knowledge of server component architecture (motherboards, drives, RAM, CPUs, heatsinks).
• Strong working knowledge of power components (PSUs, PDUs, VRMs) and interfaces (PMBus, IPMI).
• Ability to troubleshoot x86-based systems; diagnose hardware and software issues.
• OS administration on Linux distributions; Python experience is a bonus.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, small team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a self-starter.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or 3+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute NPI builds and day-to-day factory activities.
• Drive technical issues to closure with Hardware/Software Engineering.
• Ensure firmware flashing is error-free during NPI builds.
• Qualify bleeding-edge firmware at component and platform levels.
• Collaborate with other functions to resolve NPI build issues.
