Job summary

American Battery Solutions Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes within an NPI environment.

You will apply engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes and support customer projects throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires leadership in process planning, tooling design, 5S implementation, and collaboration with QA/EMS teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years manufacturing or process engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Proven ability to design tooling and equipment in SolidWorks or equivalent software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of process and equipment planning activities required to support customer projects and meet company business plan objectives.
• Lead start of production continuous improvement activities to meet product quality and business goals.
• Develop and maintain all production documentation including DFM/A’s, PFDs, PFMEAs, WI’s.
• Implement 5S for all responsible production areas.
• Support Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
• Support the manufacturing evaluation of new product designs (DFM/A), creation of manufacturing plans, and estimations of production costs.
• Responsible for Equipment & Tooling Readiness/Documentation and safety standards.
• Qualify purchased Cap-Ex equipment per Machine Acceptance requirements (capability, OEE, ergonomics).
