Job summary

Resonetics in San Diego, CA, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II, NPI to drive the introduction and industrialization of new life science manufacturing technologies within Nitinol processing. You will transfer processes from development to production, support validations, and help ramp early production on the floor.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, collaboration with Process Development, Quality, and Production, and strong data-driven decision making using DOE, Cp/Cpk, and DMAIC to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably with NPI or process transfer.
• Strong technical writing for process docs, validation protocols, and reports.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Support transfer of new products/processes from Process Development to Production.
• Introduce and establish Nitinol-based manufacturing processes (laser cutting, shape setting, electropolishing, inspection).
• Execute and support IQ/OQ/PQ and TMV validations.
• Maintain process documentation (WIs, routers, etc.) ensuring alignment with intent.
• Assist in baselining job costs, cycle times, and ERP standards.
• Apply DMAIC for NPI issues, yield losses, variation, and stability.
