Job summary

Libra Industries in Richardson, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Customer Focus Team. The ME will bring customer designs into realization, develop and maintain processes for PCB sub-assemblies and final assemblies, and partner with production to improve efficiency and quality.

You will collaborate with program management, supply chain, and engineering, provide DfX feedback, define processes, create work instructions, and support root-cause investigations to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering with 5-7 years in high-reliability electronics and system manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PCBA/CCA processes and manufacturing.
• DFM, PFMEA, and Lean/Six Sigma fundamentals required.
• Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills; SPC software skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate as process/manufacturing engineering representative on Customer Focus Teams for new product introductions and launches.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate new product releases.
• Serve as technical advisor for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide DfM/DfA/DfX feedback and training on product integration.
• Analyze documentation like drawings, CAD, Gerbers, and BOMs for internal use.
• Develop labor time estimates and maintain knowledge of tools; collaborate with quote teams.
• Define assembly processes, product flow, materials, methods, and tools for new products.
• Create Manufacturing Process/Work Instructions to support repeatable processes.
• Configure BOMs/routings and manage changes through the lifecycle.
• Submit engineering changes into the PLM system.
• Establish FMEA, process control plans, and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate time studies, line setup, and tooling improvements.
• Support sustaining engineering and root-cause analysis.
• Demonstrate clear communication with customers and teams.
• Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
