Job summary

Amphenol EEC, Inc. is seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to transition new connector, cable assembly, wire harness, and electromechanical products from design to production.

You will bridge design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure manufacturability, quality and on-time launches in hazardous industrial markets. The role requires strong DFMA, process development, tooling, FEM/validation planning, and ECO management to deliver scalable production for oil & gas, mining, renewable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in engineering within connector manufacturing, cable assemblies or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience supporting NPI from concept through production and ROHS/IPC readiness.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, CAD tools, and low-volume/high-mix environments.
• Strong MS Office and ERP proficiency; hazardous location requirements knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI from engineering release through successful production launch.
• Review drawings and specs for manufacturability and cost targets.
• Develop scalable manufacturing processes and routings.
• Create BOMs, work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs and control plans.
• Coordinate prototypes, pilot runs, and ECO management.
• Ensure DFMA, quality, and delivery objectives in harsh-environment products.
• Drive Lean improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support customer design reviews and product validations.
