Qualifications

  • Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC X-Bar/R, Cmk/Cpk, R&R.
  • Experience with high-speed stamping, injection molding, plating or connector manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate activities for the NPI teams globally.
  • Participate in Design Reviews and provide feedback on components and assemblies (DFM).
  • Collect process data, provide recommendations to optimize assembly processes.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues and customer complaints.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical problems impacting manufacturing, supply chain, or product performance.
  • Maintain documentation including process specs, work instructions, and ECOs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to improve yield and reduce cost.
  • Mentor and lead a team with accountability and excellence.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma and other methodologies to drive improvements.

JOB FUNCTION:

Experienced NPI Process Engineering Manager to lead the Global NPI teams, Process Development, DFM Engineers and Automation to oversee the daily production processes, improvement and support of existing manufacturing processes and products. This role demands a technically proficient leader with over 12 years of experience in engineering and a proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, resolve complex issues, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong personality, clear communication, and a structured approach to problem-solving.\

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and coordinating activities for the NPI teams globally.
  • Participation in Design Reviews and provide collective feedback to Design Engineers on components and assembly Connectors (DFM).
  • Collect process data and analyses, provide recommendations and observations to optimize assembly process to the ME team.
  • Support and coordinate process qualification & customer samples through NPI personnel.
  • Responsible for Transfer to Production once all development documents and qualifications are completed.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues and customer complaints.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical problems impacting manufacturing, supply chain, or product performance.
  • Responsible for documentation including process specifications, work instructions, and engineering change notices.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to enhance yield, reduce cost, and improve reliability.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive measurable improvements.
  • Mentor and lead a team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Track and report progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory documentation as needed.
  • Travel to support vendor visits, troubleshooting, and inter-site collaboration.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • BS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electromechanical or Mechanical)
  • 12+ years of experience in Process Engineering, Process Qualification, or New Product Introduction within electronics or connector manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of current experience as Manager Position is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of using data to analyze process and product problems – SPC, Six Sigma.
  • Effective use of problem prevention tools, including Quality Planning, Poka Yoke, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC X-Bar/R Charting, Cmk/Cpk, R&R, etc.
  • Experience in high-speed stamping, injection molding, precious metal plating or manufacturing connector background preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, project management skills.
  • Experience presenting complex progress and/or failure-analysis results to customers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of high-speed I/O connectors, electromechanical products, data-center applications, or similar interconnect technologies preferred.
  • Geometric Dimensions and Tolerance principles, and statical Engineering methods.
  • Advanced level of decision making with responsibility for outcomes necessary
