Accelera Staffing in Berlin, CT seeks a Laser Process Engineer (NPI) to lead laser-based product introductions, coordinating with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful launches and production transfer.

You will develop robust laser programs for marking, welding, and cutting, document procedures, and drive DFMA/ DFA initiatives while maintaining schedules and budgets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSME degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with laser processing (welding/marking/cutting).
• Experience with PPAP procedures and medical component manufacturing.
• Proven track record of developing efficient processes and scaling programs to high-volume production.
• Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional teams and external clients.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support all phases of the New Product Introduction lifecycle for laser equipment and processes.
• Manage the launch of new programs and ensure seamless handoff to production and sustaining teams.
• Verify laser processes meet efficiency, cycle time, and quality standards for a smooth handover to production.
• Coordinate with R&D personnel to transfer projects to NPI and project management groups.
• Execute and document equipment, process, and part qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Create essential technical documentation including work instructions, setup sheets, training materials, and process reports.
• Partner with quality engineers to develop control plans, process routings, and PFMEAs.
