Job summary

Areté, based in Healdsburg, CA, is seeking an NPI Engineering Service Representative to contribute to electro-mechanical design, drafting, assembly, and production in an NPI environment. You will work on complex electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical systems used in maritime and aerial contexts, reporting as a full-time, exempt staff member in our Healdsburg office.

The role emphasizes assembly, testing, documentation, and field support.

Qualifications

• Strong electronics and mechanical background with assembly, tuning and troubleshooting of electronic/mechanical devices.
• Soldering surface mount components and harness connectors.
• Familiarity reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient use of hand tools, soldering, crimping and measurement equipment.
• Excellent manual dexterity and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair, rework and troubleshoot complex electromechanical assemblies, circuit boards and harnesses.
• Provide field support following training.
• Maintain system files and track assembly documents.
• Ensure tasks meet customer delivery dates.
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports.
• Develop assembly and test documentation, procedures, and fixtures.
• Assemble and test systems.
• Assist in lab and field test experiments.

As an NPI Engineering Service Representative at Areté, you will provide key electro-mechanical design, drafting, assembly, and production expertise within an NPI environment. Our current opening requires background with electronic circuit boards and harnessing. You will be responsible for assisting in development and building of highly complex electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical systems. These advanced technologies are primarily employed in maritime and aerial environments, where your expertise will contribute to our ongoing pursuit of excellence. This position is based out of our Healdsburg, CA office and is classified as a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair, rework and/or troubleshoot complex electromechanical assemblies, circuit boards and harnesses
• Provide field support (following appropriate training)
• Maintenance of system file and tracking assembly documents
• Ensure all tasks are completed to customer’s required delivery date
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports
• Develop assembly and test documentation, procedures, and fixtures as necessary
• Assembly and test systems
• Assist in lab and field test experiments

The salary range for this entry level role is $70,000 to $85,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Level 2 (experienced) $82,000 - $100,000, Level 3 (staff) $99,000 - $118,000.

Other Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility.

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
