Job summary

The Pivot Group Network collaborates with Norton Shores manufacturers to identify experienced NPI Engineers. You will help move new products from design to production, optimizing manufacturability and testability through close cooperation with R&D and operations.

As an NPI Engineer, you will develop processes, validate production steps, mitigate risks, support pilot runs, and document procedures for quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with electronics assembly.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and CAD data.
• Experience with NPI processes, including DFM/DFA analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills with focus on yield improvement and defect reduction.
• Proficiency with MES and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product design for manufacturability and testability.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new product introduction.
• Conduct process validation and qualification activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Identify and mitigate potential manufacturing risks during the NPI phase.
