Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of NPI or manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume production environment.
• Ability to read schematics, Gerber files and mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT, wave solder, final assembly).
• Proficiency with CAD software for design review and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related issues.
• Manage and execute engineering change orders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
• Participate in design reviews and provide early DFM/DFA feedback.
• Support pilot builds and production ramp-up activities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in NPI processes.

• Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT, wave solder, and final assembly.
• Experience with DFM/DFT analysis and implementing improvements for manufacturability.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, SolidWorks) for design review and analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their integration with manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of data visualization tools and techniques for presenting complex technical information.
• Background in Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement frameworks.
