Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to join our Rockford, MI manufacturing partners. You will lead the transfer of new products from design to production and help shape manufacturability.

Experience with CAD, PLM, and DFMA is preferred and you will drive robust process definitions. Collaborate with R&D and design teams, define and implement quality plans, and optimize manufacturing processes for pilot runs and volume production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in NPI engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLM systems.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (assembly, test, quality control).
Experience with product lifecycle management and DFM principles.

Responsibilities

Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Define and implement quality control plans for new product builds.
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues during pilot production runs.
Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and BOMs.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities for new products.
