Job summary

Anduril Industries, based in Rhode Island, seeks an NPI Engineer to bridge design and production for the Dive-XL maritime initiative at Quonset Point. You will lead knowledge transfer, manage changes, and ensure smooth scale-up across sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing or product integration with NPI experience, Lean/Six Sigma, AS9100, and willingness to travel internationally; US Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or product integration; at least 3 years in New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Led transfer of product/process between manufacturing sites.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, AS9100 quality systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to influence without direct authority.
• Willingness to travel internationally; eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the introduction of configuration management decisions in the production system at Quonset and the follow-on impacts across multiple sites.
• Champion the DFM/DFX/DFA of existing production designs into the development pipeline.
• Collaborate with leadership to prevent engineering scope creep and ensure on-schedule releases.
• Design and implement a standardized knowledge transfer framework across sites with checklists, templates, and reviews.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities ensuring engineering, supply chain, quality, and production deliverables are on time.
• Serve as primary point of contact for NIH? (Note: replace with actual knowledge transfer coordination for assigned NPI programs.)
• Embed with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing teams from development through initial production.
• Lead cross-site collaboration forums and technical deep dives.
• Mentor engineers and technicians at receiving sites to become self-sufficient SMEs.
• Foster open communication and standardization across the organization.
• Manage engineering change workflows (ECR/ECO) affecting transferred technology and phase-in/out timelines.
• Track risks, issues, and actions with mitigation and escalation as needed.
