Job summary

Alto-Shaam is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering – NPI & ECO to lead the NPI engineering and ECO teams, driving manufacturability, process development, and successful product launches. You will coordinate with design, quality, and production to meet stage-gate milestones and optimize tooling, fixtures, and processes.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing engineering, DFx practices, and hands-on leadership to deliver on time with quality.

Qualifications

8+ years fabrication and assembly experience.
3+ years leading technical staff.
Experience leading new product introduction in stage-gate processes (DFM/DFA).
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.
Experience owning BOMs, routings, and work instructions.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using SolidWorks or similar.

Responsibilities

Lead NPI engineers and ECO team; set priorities and ensure coverage.
Join design reviews with manufacturability focus; identify automation and cost‑out opportunities.
Develop manufacturing processes (flow, methods, workmanship) using cycle/takt.
Manage Alpha/Beta/pre‑production builds; drive launch, ramp, and hand-off to sustainment.
Track KPIs/KAIs; escalate risks to Director and ensure stage-gate readiness.
Own ECO process from intake to cutover; maintain BOMs, routings, and cost data.
