Job summary

Daikin Applied in Plymouth, MN seeks a Design Quality Engineer to champion product quality across the development lifecycle. You will own requirements quality, design risk management, and validation effectiveness to support evidence-based readiness decisions before launch.

Embedded in engineering teams, you will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations and Quality to ensure risks are understood, mitigated, and clearly communicated for robust design and successful NPIs.

Qualifications

• Own requirements quality: complete, testable, traceable from customer needs through engineering.
• Lead DFMEA development and risk mitigation.
• Define validation strategy and DVP&R with full coverage of critical risks.

Responsibilities

• Requirements quality: ensure linkage between requirements, design outputs and validation plans.
• Drive Design Risk Management and closure of critical risks before design freeze.
• Lead Validation Effectiveness: prove product performance, reliability and safety.
• Provide objective input into readiness reviews and program decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations and Quality.
