Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a Design Quality Engineer in Plymouth, MN, with a hybrid work model. You will own requirements quality, risk analysis, and validation effectiveness to ensure a risk-balanced, data-driven readiness for product launches.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Quality to integrate field feedback, verify design decisions, and maintain traceability from customer needs through validation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years in product development, design engineering, or quality engineering roles.
• Experience in product development or NPI environments.
• Strong DFMEA and product risk analysis knowledge.
• Experience with requirements definition, traceability, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product requirements are complete, testable, and traceable from customer needs through engineering.
• Link requirements, design outputs, and validation plans.
• Lead development and mitigation of DFMEA to identify risks and drive closure.
• Define and assess validation strategy and DVP&R to cover critical requirements and risks.
• Provide evidence-based input into readiness reviews and decisions.
• Align design intent with manufacturing controls and process definitions.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams.
