Job summary

Waters Corporation, Taunton, MA, is seeking a Sr Chemical Engineer for New Product Introduction to lead transfer of new chemical products into our manufacturing plant. You will partner with R&D, Chemistry, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure readiness and robust processes for safe production launches.

You will guide equipment validation, process development, and risk assessments while optimizing performance and minimizing downtime across the plant.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, including NPI, process development, tech transfer, scale-up, validation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional project management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate technical risks, decisions, requirements, and launch status clearly in written and verbal form.
• Experience with batch reaction chemistry, solids filtration, powder drying, and handling of acids and solvents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of processes across the manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot daily operations and during equipment commissioning to ensure product quality and safety.
• Perform gap analyses between Milford and Taunton capabilities; define mitigation plans and necessary changes.
• Collaborate with NPI Manager and Material Scientist to align priorities, strategy and launch readiness.
• Monitor performance before/during/after launch; investigate deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Lead projects to improve and expand manufacturing processes while minimizing waste.
• Transfer and scale up products from R&D into production; execute commissioning and validation of equipment.
