Waters Corporation is seeking a Weekend Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our Chemical Engineering Team in Taunton, MA. You will design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and equipment, developing deep technical expertise and supporting plant operations.

The role emphasizes weekend shifts (12 hours) with on-call duties, emphasizing independence, problem-solving, and collaboration with contractors and internal teams to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is required.
4–7 years of experience in chemical manufacturing with process development and optimization.
Experience with batch reaction chemistry, filtration, drying, acids/solvents handling, or distillation is a plus.
Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun-Mon with on-call support.

Responsibilities

Acquire in-depth knowledge of all processes throughout our manufacturing facility.
Troubleshoot and provide technical support for daily operation and during commissioning/startup.
Lead projects to improve and expand capability while minimizing waste.
Work with Tech Support to transfer and scale up products from R&D into production.
Execute commissioning, startup, and validation of chemical process equipment systems.
Coordinate with contractors to ensure safe and proper installation.
Develop IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols, ETOPs, and regulatory documentation.
Develop and approve specs/drawings for process equipment and P&IDs.
Any other tasks as assigned.
