Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions (ADS) is seeking an NPD Sourcing Engineer to guide supplier selection and strategic sourcing for new product development and lifecycle initiatives. You will work with engineering, operations, quality, and procurement to optimize cost, quality, and delivery across the product lifecycle.

Join a team partnering with global category management to identify capable suppliers for advanced technologies in aerospace and defense.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 3+ years in sourcing/procurement.
• Experience with technical suppliers for mechanical/electronic components.
• Knowledge of cost analysis techniques and supplier selection methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for new product development from concept through launch.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for components, assemblies, materials, and services.
• Collaborate with engineering to optimize supplier selection, manufacturability, and cost.
• Engage suppliers early to leverage technology and design-to-cost initiatives.
• Serve as primary sourcing rep on cross-functional project teams and drive sourcing decisions.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, capacity, lead times, and terms.
• Develop and execute supplier strategies balancing quality, cost, delivery, and risk.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and risk assessment activities.
• Drive value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives to stay competitive.
• Coordinate with category managers and procurement leadership to align strategies.
• Monitor milestones to ensure successful launches and supply continuity.
• Support risk mitigation including single-source reduction and capacity planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing processes and supplier performance.
