Job summary

AMETEK Inc. in Waukegan, IL is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex New Product Development programs across concept through delivery, using PMP stage-gate processes and Gantt-based timelines.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to bring power conversion systems and UPS products to market, ensuring on-time, within-budget results. This role requires 5+ years in program management, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and experience with electronics product design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in program/project management.
• Strong knowledge of stage-gate methodologies and PMP processes.
• Experience with electronic product design and manufacturing, preferably power electronics or UPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive PMP stage-gate processes with gate reviews and governance.
• Develop and maintain Gantt-based schedules with milestones and deliverables.
• Lead NPD and major program activities aligned with goals.
• Manage scope, schedule and cost for on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Identify risks and lead cross-functional teams to mitigate them.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and service teams for seamless product development.
• Track and resolve quality issues to improve reliability.
• Establish and maintain program budgets and operating plans.
• Conduct stage-gate meetings and decision checkpoints.
• Manage Change Control Board activities and governance.
• Provide accurate program status reporting throughout the lifecycle.
