Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in North Texas seeks a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist to support ongoing education of nursing staff. This exempt role partners with inter-professional teams to design, implement, and evaluate learning activities across the hospital.

You will apply adult education theory, lead change, mentor peers, and champion evidence-based practice. Requires a master's in nursing, Texas RN license, AHA BLS, NPD or Nurse Educator certification within two

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification
• NPD Certification or Certified Nurse Educator within two years of start date
• Clinical certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical nursing practice and application of adult education theory in a hospital and/or School of Nursing
