Job summary

Crown Bakeries in Philadelphia is seeking a Plant Operations Coordinator to drive New Product Development and operational excellence. You will bridge R&D, Sales, and Manufacturing to ensure new items are costed, documented, and ready for first production runs while leading cost-saving initiatives across the plant.

In this role you will manage the commercialization playbook, trial processes, data integrity in the Access database, and daily metrics on safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, business or related technical field.
• Experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience, Sage X3 is a plus.
• Experience updating Access Databases.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage NPD and commercialization ownership for new items.
• Oversee BOMs and costed documentation before first production run.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for playbook readiness.
• Maintain data in Access Database and generate reports.
• Monitor inventory readiness and sample control during launches.
• Prepare daily and weekly safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
