Condux International in Minnesota is seeking a Design Engineer – New Product Development to drive concept-to-production of innovative tools and equipment. You will translate customer needs into engineering specs, make technical decisions, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.

The role requires hands-on design, validation, and prototyping, plus experience with complex assemblies and lifecycle processes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
• 3+ years of experience in product development, complex mechanical equipment preferred
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Creo preferred)
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and product validation
• Strong understanding of the product lifecycle and engineering processes
• Familiarity with FEA, DFMA and DFMEA
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage assigned engineering work and juggle multiple priorities
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
• Experience with complex assemblies that incorporate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Constructive, collaborative mindset

Responsabilidades

• New Product Development – Contribute to the design and development of new products from concept through production using a Stage-Gate process. Translate customer and market requirements into engineering specifications.
• Collaboration – Collaborate with product management, marketing, operations, and quality teams to align on objectives and drive successful project execution.
• Engineering Design & Validation – Create and review engineering documentation and product specifications. Oversee prototyping and iterative testing to validate design concepts. Apply tools such as FEA and DFMEA to evaluate performance and mitigate risk.
• Project Execution – Plan and manage assigned engineering work, meet agreed milestones, communicate progress and risks, and support project leaders in delivering products on schedule and within budget.
