Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an experienced Women’s Health APN to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient OBGYN practice in North Jersey.

The APN will function autonomously, lead care planning, and collaborate with the practice and hospital team to meet health and safety needs. Requirements include an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program graduate, a master's or doctorate in an NP program, NJ APN license, prescriptive authority, and board certification (AANP/ANCC).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Function autonomously as an APN in outpatient OBGYN.
• Collaborate with physicians on staff and practice/hospital teams to assess, plan, and implement care.
• Provide patient-centered, coordinated care for individuals with health and safety needs.
• Lead and participate in care planning and coordination to support optimal outcomes.
• Weekend coverage as needed.

Job description

The Women's Health OBGYN Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

Fast paced, outpatient OBGYN practice in North Jersey. Need to function autonomously as an APN. Minimum 2 years as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.

No On-Call Required
