Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. You’ll evaluate and treat patients of all ages in a fast-paced outpatient setting, manage acute conditions, and perform routine procedures with competency and compassion.

Qualifications

• Active state license as NP or PA
• 2+ years in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care
• Skilled in urgent care procedures and fast-paced clinic environment
• Excellent communication and patient-centered approach
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within onboarding

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in urgent care
• Manage acute conditions, infections, and injuries
• Perform minor procedures (suturing, splinting, drainage)
• Conduct DOT and employment physicals
• Order and interpret tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs)
• Counsel patients on care plans and preventive health
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and team
