Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across all ages, manage acute conditions, and perform common procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

We offer a collaborative clinical team, competitive base pay with performance bonuses, and a schedule that includes one full shift per week, one weekend per month, and one holiday per year.

Qualifications

• Current National Certification as NP (ANCC or AANP) or PA (NCCPA)
• Active state professional license
• 2+ years of urgent care or family medicine experience

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in urgent care.
• Manage acute conditions, infections, and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing and wound care.
• Conduct DOT and employment physicals and order/interpret tests.
• Document thoroughly and coordinate with supervising physicians.
• Provide patient education and care plan counseling.
