Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in a fast-paced outpatient setting, performing procedures and ordering tests as needed.

Qualifications

• Active state license as NP or PA.
• 2+ years in urgent care, family or emergency care.
• BLS certification either active or obtained on onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in urgent care.
• Manage acute conditions, infections, and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures (suturing, splinting, drainage).
• Conduct physicals including DOT and employment exams.
• Order and interpret labs, X-rays, and EKGs.
• Counsel on care plans and preventive health.
