Job summary

The ideal candidate will hold an NP or PA credential, an NJ RN license, and current BLS/ACLS certifications, with prescriptive authority and a collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• NPI (National Provider Identifier).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Successful completion of an AMA-accredited physician's assistant program.

Job description

The Primary Care Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

• Monday - FridaywithSaturday PRN
• Facility Hours of operation: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Monday–Friday, with Saturdays 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Ambulatorysettingonly - no hospital
• Three primary providers, 1 pulmonologist , and 1 part-time orthopedic provider.
• No on‑call duties.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• 2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• 3. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• 4. Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• 5. National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• 6. Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• 7. Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 9. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
