Job summary

Essentia Health in Minnesota seeks a qualified clinician to join a complex surgery team, split between hospital and clinic duties. The role involves independent practice with physicians and APPs, focusing on access to care for walk-ins, follow-ups, and wound care within a clinic setting.

The position is 1.0 FTE, typically Monday to Friday, with weekend rotation 1:4 and no on-call requirement. OR experience is preferred and there are potential bonuses and incentives.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as RN and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the appropriate state.
• CPR certification and national certification completed.
• Credentialing process with Essentia Health completed prior to practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare to individuals and families with emphasis on prevention and health promotion.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals with an emphasis on team-based care.
• Support walk-in, procedure follow-up, and wound care in the clinic; 80% hospital and 20% clinical work.

Job Description:

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Education Qualifications:

PRACTICE SPECIFICS:

• Candidate would be joining a complex surgery team consisting of 4 APPs who are paired with 3 MD’s.
• This is a clinic and hospital-based role, allowing our physicians to maintain surgical access while increasing access to care for our clinic patients.
• This essential position will help ensure walk-in, procedure follow-up, and wound care patients have immediate access to care in the clinic.
• 80% Hospital and 20% Clinical
• 1.0 FTE
• Typical schedule: M-F
• Weekend and call rotation: 1:4
• OR experience is preferred

Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
