Job summary

Allergy & Ent Assoc in Hanford, CA seeks a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct patient care in an outpatient allergy and immunology setting, collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.

The candidate will evaluate and diagnose, develop treatment plans, order tests, prescribe medications, and document in the EMR, with CA PA/NP licensing and DEA registration required or obtainable. This role offers comprehensive benefits and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current or eligible California PA or NP license.
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Allergy, asthma, immunology, primary care, or related clinical experience preferred; however, training may be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage new and established patients with allergy, asthma, and immunologic conditions.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
• Provide follow-up care and ongoing management of patients.
• Evaluate patients receiving allergy immunotherapy and other allergy-related treatments.
• Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing and laboratory studies.
• Prescribe medications within the provider's scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and ongoing management of their conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical staff to provide safe, consistent, and high-quality patient care.
• Consult with the physician regarding complex cases or when physician involvement is appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Follow established clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and standards of care.
• Participate in the continued development and improvement of allergy and immunology services within the practice.
