Job summary

CoxHealth Center Branson in Branson, Missouri, seeks a Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with a physician for clinical decisions, case management and performance evaluation in the Emergency Department.

The role provides advanced nursing care, conducts exams, orders diagnostics, develops treatment plans and prescribes therapies, with MS in Nursing and MO NP licensure required. Shifts rotate (7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 11:30 AM–9:30 PM), 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Masters of Science in Nursing degree required.
• MO Nurse Practitioner license required with credentialing within first 90 days of employment.
• No prior experience required; 1–2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physician for clinical decision-making and case management.
• Provide advanced nursing care, perform exams, order diagnostics, develop treatment plans and prescribe therapies.
• Plan, direct, or coordinate medicine and health services in hospitals, clinics or managed care organizations.

Job Description

The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician for assistance in clinical decision-making, case management and evaluation of performance. The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care and treatment to patients and performs physical examinations; orders diagnostic tests, develops treatment plans and prescribes drugs or other therapies. The Nurse Practitioner may also plan, direct, or coordinate medicine and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies, or similar organizations.
