Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with physicians in clinical decision-making and patient management at the Bone and Joint Center in Springfield, MO. The role includes exams, orders, and prescriptive authority. Strong clinical and communication skills are essential.

The position supports 8-5 day shifts with 40 hours weekly. MO NP licensure and valid driver’s license are required. Experience in orthopedics or primary care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as Nurse Practitioner within the last three (3) years.
• MO Nurse Practitioner license
• Active Driver’s License
• Good clinical expertise, communication skills and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care and treatment to patients.
• Order diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans and prescribe drugs or other therapies.
• Plan, direct, or coordinate medicine and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, or similar settings.
