Job summary

General Medicine is building the licensure and collaborative practice function to enable NPs to practice telehealth across states we operate in. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, operations, and provider relations, ensuring CPAs and licensure records stay current and auditable.

You will manage collaborating physicians, set up CPAs, perform primary source verification, and guide the organization through state-specific licensure requirements, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience with NP/APRN licensure, credentialing, or collaborative practice agreements in a healthcare or telehealth setting.
• Knowledge of multi-state licensing board processes and primary source verification.
• Comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems and building process where none exists yet.
• Strong documentation habits: you write things down so the next person (or your future self) doesn't have to guess.
• Demonstrated, hands‑on use of AI tools in your daily workflow (not just familiarity with them).
• High attention to detail: this work has real regulatory consequences.

Responsibilities

• Manage our bench of collaborating physicians: track capacity, match CPs to NPs, and run onboarding for new CPs stepping into the role
• Build and maintain state-specific and provider-specific CPA templates, and set up new CPAs and their collateral paperwork
• Review completed CPAs, file them internally, submit any required state paperwork, and update licensure records once agreements are signed
• Run primary source verification and license viability review for new and existing NPs, and communicate findings to providers and internal stakeholders
• Track licensure and CPA status across states, follow up on outstanding issues, and drive licenses to viability
• Handle licensure-related escalations and resolve them with the relevant board or party
• Serve as the subject matter expert on NP licensure and collaborative practice compliance
• Support NP offboarding as it relates to collaborative relationships, coordinating state-specific requirements with CPs
• Provide pre-hire licensure review for NP candidates and feedback to the recruiting team via Ashby
