Positions vary by level; I pays $17.57-$21.31, II pays $19.00-$23.03, III pays $20.42-$24.76. Requires valid Kansas Class B CDL and related certifications for applicable levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain licensing/certifications relevant to the position.
• Kansas Class B CDL required; pesticide applicator certificates for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations related to noxious weed control and equipment operation.
• Assist with Reno County Public Works duties as assigned.

Job Purpose and Objectives

Perform activities related to the operations of noxious weed control in Reno County, equipment operator and other duties associated with Reno County Public Works.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

Position Requirements- Equipment Operator I - Noxious Weeds: Pay Range - $17.57 - $21.31

• Minimum level high school graduate or have an equivalent general educational development certificate (GED).
• Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining any certification and licensing relative to the position.
• Must obtain a Class B CDL drivers license.

Certifications / Licenses:

• Obtain all licensing requirements as required in position requirements.

Position Requirements- Equipment Operator II - Noxious Weeds: Pay Range - $19.00 - $23.03

• Minimum level high school graduate or have an equivalent general educational development certificate (GED).
• Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining any certification and licensing relative to the position.

Certifications / Licenses:

• Possess and maintain valid Kansas Class B CDL.

Position Requirements- Equipment Operator III - Noxious Weeds: Pay Range - $20.42 - $24.76

• Minimum level high school graduate or have an equivalent general educational development certificate (GED).
• Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining any certification and licensing requirements relative to the position.
• Previous 2 years’ experience preferred.

Certifications / Licenses:

• Possess and maintain valid Kansas Class B CDL.
• Possess a 6 & 9A category commercial applicator’s certificate from the State of Kansas.
