Job summary

The Psychiatric Institute of Washington, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., seeks a Business Development Representative to grow referral networks in the Northern Virginia area and support strategic growth initiatives. You will build relationships with referral sources and drive new business under the guidance of senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in behavioral health, marketing, business administration or related field preferred.
• Business development/sales experience with measurable results.
• Healthcare environment experience in a business development role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts and markets in the employer EAP, Primary Care Physicians/Licensed Practitioners and managed care segments as directed by the Director of Business Development.
• Develop a designated number of qualified business development contacts per week to achieve goals.
• Maintain account information and update relationships with active accounts.
• Contact primary accounts through visits, calls and mailings to build trust and referrals.
• Monitor referrals/admissions and plan strategies to maximize referral potential.
• Participate in ongoing marketing activities and SWOT analysis to support facility goals.
• Collaborate with the business development team to reduce duplication of efforts and enhance productivity.
• Promote team concepts within the facility and contribute to overall business planning.
