Job summary

Williamsburg Post Acute & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents in Williamsburg, VA. You will ensure proper portions, deliver and collect trays, and maintain sanitary dining areas in collaboration with dietary and nursing staff.

Training is available; prior experience in food service or healthcare is a plus. This role requires dependability and flexibility, including weekends or holidays as needed, to support resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality is a plus but training is available.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable and able to work designated shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and infection control standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks according to resident dietary plans and facility menus.
• Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
• Set up, deliver, and collect meal trays and dining room service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with state and facility regulations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment following safe food-handling procedures.
• Stock and organize food supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
• Work collaboratively with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents' nutritional needs.
