Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for the Atrium Health Union location in Monroe, NC. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble meals, and ensure deliveries meet timing and dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic math and computer skills are required.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to patient selections in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and JCAHO; follow HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations and breaking down tray line.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on specific diets as needed.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
