Job summary

Lindenwood University seeks a Controller to lead its accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end and year-end closes, treasury and cash management, and compliance verification. This role oversees grants, endowments, gifts, and investment accounts.

The ideal candidate will direct Accounts Payable, manage endowment reporting, and drive improvements within the Workday ERP environment, partnering with senior leadership to ensure strong financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in accounting.
• Experience with not-for-profit accounting, regulations, grant, restricted gift accounting, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of Accounting and Accounts Payable departments.
• Determines accounting policies and practices to ensure financial statements comply with GAAP.
• Ensures accuracy in recording financial transactions and manages University assets.
