Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• Five or more years of experience in public accounting and/or industry with Not-for-Profit focus.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially for not-for-profit sector.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting in not-for-profit environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with board/stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and oversee engagement management.
• Improve month-end and year-end close cycles for not-for-profit entities.
• Support accounting transitions and special projects (cash-to-accrual, opening balance sheets, consolidation).
• Assist with financial statement audits, Single Audits, and compliance audits.
• Lead technical accounting projects (ASC 958, ASC 606 with contributions, ASC 842).
• Provide guidance on net asset classification and grant accounting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, reconciliations, and memos.
• Advise on finance policies, procedures, and operating model.
