Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Manager dedicated to the Not-for-Profit industry, based at a California office. You will lead engagements from planning through completion, mentoring staff, and maintaining client relationships with partners and managers.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA, and at least 5 years in public accounting, including prior Not-for-Profit exposure. Strong leadership and GAAP expertise are essential. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• CPA license required or eligible.
• Experience in public accounting with Not-for-Profit preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and client service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagement planning and execution to deliver high-quality client service.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing to financial reporting.
• Provide supervision to engagement staff and communicate with partners.
• Collaborate with seniors and managers to resolve client issues and address regulatory matters.
• Manage multiple engagements with diverse teams to meet deadlines.
• Create and monitor engagement budgets and discuss evaluations with the team.
• Support professional development programs as a trainer or discussion leader.
