Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Manager for the Not-for-Profit Industry team, based out of any office location. You’ll lead audits from planning through completion, supervise staff, and build client relationships.

The role offers leadership opportunities with transparent promotion paths and career coaching to prepare for the next level. A strong background in public accounting and Not-for-Profit audits is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• At least 5 years of public accounting experience with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Not-for-Profit audit experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with communication abilities.
• Ability to travel as needed based on client assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team staff on planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations with world-class client service.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting.
• Provide supervision and support to engagement staff and promote open communication with the partner.
• Collaborate with seniors, supervisors, and partners on client issue resolution and regulatory matters.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and discuss evaluations with team members.
• Participate in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
