Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Manager focused on Not-for-Profit engagements. You will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, mentoring staff and coordinating with partners while building client relationships.

Strong US GAAP knowledge and staff leadership are essential. This role offers opportunities for advancement within the Not-for-Profit Industry team and requires travel as needed to serve client assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• At least 5 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Prior auditing experience with Not-For Profit companies is preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed based on client assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team staff on planning and execution of audit, review, or compilation engagements
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing to financial reporting and conclusion
• Provide supervision and support to engagement staff and promote open communication with the engagement partner
• Collaborate with seniors/supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and regulatory/accounting guidance
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines
• Create and track engagement budgets and discuss performance with team members
• Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
