Reporting Line

This position reports to the Director of Sales - East Territory.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities and support existing accounts by leveraging your product and market knowledge. You will support the Sales organization and customers across the Northwest region, covering non-Key Account Industrial Robotics customers in Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and Northern Nevada for ABB Robotics Division. Your participation in sales strategy discussions, goal setting, and budget negotiations will showcase your expertise.

The work model is: #LI - Remote.

This role contributes to the Robotics & Discrete Automation - General Industries Segment in the Northwestern USA (Northern CA, Northern NV, Oregon, Washington). Main stakeholders include internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage territory sales and business development for the Robotics Division's General Industry and Service Robotics segments, aiming to increase market share.
  • Generate and follow up on robotic system leads, develop business with end customers and system integrators.
  • Travel approximately 70%+ during a typical work week.
  • Achieve sales target of >$6M in product sales within 12 months (approx. 100 robots).
  • Develop strategies to penetrate target customer lists.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop 5-7 channel partners in the territory.
  • Prepare accurate proposals and forecasts.
  • Utilize value-based selling techniques and demonstrate ROI to customers.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 9 years of sales experience, or Associate's Degree with 7 years, or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) with 5 years.
  • Experience in automation sales, especially robots and robotic systems.
  • Ability to interact professionally with various customer personnel levels.
  • Proven track record in managing customer accounts in a matrix organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to develop a customer base, including cold calling.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Results-oriented, team player, analytical, excellent communicator, relationship builder, high energy, and self-motivated.
  • Residence in the NW Territory is preferred.
