Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer, Professional Associate to join the NW Region design team in Portland. The role emphasizes structural analysis, code-compliant design, and collaboration with structural leads, engineers, and designers to translate concepts into deliverables.

Ideal candidates will have a PE license, 4+ years in structural engineering, and experience with IBC/ASCE 7/ACI/AISC, Navisworks, and Bluebeam. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng) is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Plan and conduct engineering evaluations, selecting appropriate techniques and criteria.
• Apply knowledge of lateral analysis (wind and seismic) per building codes.
• Check own work and coordinate with peers to ensure quality.
• Take ownership of assigned structural scope to meet schedule, budget, and quality.
• Provide technical guidance to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Identify scope changes and communicate with Structural Lead to manage impacts.
