Luxor Healthcare in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Clinical Liaison to build and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to drive admissions to our facilities. You will manage the admissions process, understanding policy, documentation, and required assessments, and you will coordinate with staff to ensure smooth transitions for new residents.

• Two to three years of admissions experience at a SNF, subacute, rehab, or healthcare facility.
• Excellent organizational skills with a detail orientation towards documentation and follow-up.
• Professional telephone skills for referrals and families.
• Clinical background required; knowledge of managed care preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Liaison, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to generate consistent admissions to our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations for the purpose of generating consistent admissions to the facility
• Understand the admissions process, including policy, procedures, assessments, and paperwork requirements
• Support the facility's public relations to generate a positive image and encourage word-of-mouth referrals
• Maintain knowledge of regulations governing Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care reimbursement processes
• Communicate special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transition
• Provide appointments for facility presentations and on-site tours
• Obtain and update authorizations
• Review referrals clinically to determine appropriate placement
• Travel between facilities and generate referrals where needed

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience with the admissions process at a SNF, subacute, rehab, or other healthcare facility
• Excellent organizational skills with a detail orientation towards documentation and follow-up
• Professional telephone skills with the ability to handle referral calls effectively and efficiently, meeting the needs of the referral sources and families
• Computer experience using a marketing information system
• Knowledge of managed care industry preferred
• LPN License preferred
• Clinical background required
