Scoot Education is seeking substitutes for the Northeast Houston area to support classrooms on a variety of assignments. You will supervise and assist students, following lesson plans and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

The role offers an hourly wage with opportunities for long-term placements; consultants provide guidance, feedback, and career planning. This is a W-2 position with potential training and benefits based on state guidelines.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks are required.

• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment; encourage engagement.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions per lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits

• Have a teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit
• Have previous experience in special education settings
• Are bilingual and/or have bilingual teaching experience
