Job summary

Scoot Education is hiring a Substitute Teacher to support students across North Phoenix, AZ. In this role you will supervise and assist students in classrooms, playgrounds, or cafeterias, following lesson plans and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or higher (or college credits), and state and federal background checks. You’ll stand out with a teaching credential or substitute permit, prior special education experience, or bilingual

• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits
