Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking substitute teachers in Buckeye, AZ to supervise and support students across classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias. You will help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment and encourage student engagement throughout the day.

The role requires a teaching credential/certificate or a 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, and may involve working with students with special needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits are required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment with active student engagement.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions following lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff and leave brief notes for the returning teacher.
• Sitting, standing, and walking; able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students.
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, indoors and outdoors.

Daily Pay Range:

$116 - $210. Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.
